Availability
The Grounds is available for reservation June, July, September and October. The venue is unavailable in August so that it can perform its original and beloved purpose of hosting the Wilhelm Tell Festival. Reservations will be awarded on a first-come first-serve basis. Planning a wedding is a big undertaking, and it can feel overwhelming at times. But at The Grounds, we are here to help you feel comfortable and confident in this process. It’s a special one, and we want you to enjoy it! Here are some of your most common questions answered.
Are you open all year round?
No we’re not, we’re an outdoor venue following mother natures lead. We’re best enjoyed June through October.
What are the rental hours?
At this time The Grounds hosts one event per weekend, we’ll figure out the details together.
How do I reserve my date?
Send us an inquiry, we’ll show you the space, you’ll sign a contract and place a deposit. Simple.
What is included in the rental?
Exclusive use of the property, on site manager available, electricity, on-site parking, use of concessions hut, garbage removal, and all the rustic charm of an outdoor event space.
What is the capacity?
The Grounds can accommodate events large and small. Whatever you can fit within 33 thousand square feet!
Do you offer wedding planning services?
Not at this time.
Do you have a preferred vendor list?
We can offer referrals.
What is the catering policy?
We require a licensed caterer for all events serving food.
When can vendors set up?
Whenever they need, we’re flexible and will discuss in detail.
Can I have my rehearsal on site?
Yes! We encourage it.

Where do my guests park?
We have great on-site parking just a short walk from The Grounds. Limited parking that’s closer is available upon request.
Where can my guests stay?
There are many comfortable choices in downtown New Glarus.
Can I bring my pet?
We love our furry friends as well, let’s talk the details.
Do you provide tables and chairs?
We don’t but we have great referrals.
Do you set up for my event?
We do not, but we have more great referrals to assist with your needs.
Who cleans after the event?
We ask that The Grounds are returned as they were found in their natural glory.
Do you allow the sale of alcohol?
At this time we do not.
Do you treat the grounds for bugs?
We currently do not, however you are welcome to.
